Job Description

We are looking for a Network Administrator to join our IT Systems team. You are primarily responsible for managing, monitoring and resolving issues within Applied Medical’s European network infrastructure. In addition, you will handle tasks related to maintaining network and information security.


You are based at our European Head office in Amersfoort and you report to the System and Software Engineer.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain and monitor LAN and WAN network architecture
  • Troubleshoot physical and wireless networking issues
  • Implement, maintain and monitor hardware and software networking appliances
  • Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
  • Maintain and monitor network security
  • Manage (information) security tools including client management

Requirements

  • MBO degree level
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and dynamic routing protocols and networking equipment
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking and network security solutions (ACI, ISE, WSA, StealthWatch)
  • Extensive knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting complex issues with (W)LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Extensive knowledge of network and information security tools (IDS, endpoint protection, data loss prevention)
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Experience working in an international and multidisciplinary environment is preferred
