Job Description

Would you like to be part of the exciting developments and expansions at Applied Medical? As Engineering Manager you will lead our professional engineering team to achieve the team’s and company’s ambitious goals. Our Engineering team provides their expertise to support and advise various internal departments currently with focus on implementing and expanding the production processes for our advanced medical devices. You will manage and support your team members throughout all phases of development projects and troubleshooting efforts and will play an important role in achieving the future plans for the Engineering team. You will report to the Director Process Engineering.


Within Applied Medical, this position has the internal job title of Manager Process Engineer.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and build a multi-faceted engineering team
  • Identify projects pertaining to improvements and expansion of production processes and/or products
  • Delegate projects, establish timelines, and allocate resources to achieve projects’ goals
  • Oversee current projects and follow up on the progress
  • Provide engineering support and technical guidance to facilitate product/process development and production progress
  • Review engineering and design control documents
  • Provide updates to internal stakeholders including management teams regarding the status of relevant projects


  • Engineering degree (HBO/HTS/BSc/MSc) in a technical subject
  • 8+ years of relevant working experience
  • 3+ years of experience with cross-function management, including people and process management
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent organization, and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of technical reasoning, analytical techniques, prototyping and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in fast-growing organization with a highly regulated environment is preferred
