Job Description

We believe learning is a lifelong endeavor. In this position, you serve the learning needs of the company with an emphasis on the Applied Medical professional development courses. You will be responsible for the facilitation of existing learning programs as well as the review and development of existing and new (virtual) classroom and/ or e-learning courses. You identify learning objectives, define and analyze the favorable learning outcomes and help to develop the appropriate solutions in terms of content as well as the format.


You are part of the Applied Learning team and are based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands and work closely with all relevant stakeholders in Amersfoort and the Applied Learning team in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. You report to the Manager Learning Facilitation.

 

Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Learning Facilitator.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops in an excellent and inspiring way
  • Make the course content compelling and engaging for the participants while maintaining and strengthening Applied’s company culture
  • Explore success stories of the participants and facilitate discussions around case studies to maximize participation, feedback and learning experience
  • Design and develop learning content together with Subject Matter Experts in a variety of formats: eLearning, micro-learning, training materials, virtual classroom, and instructor-led workshops
  • Support with identifying new learning and development needs, customizing instructional strategies to offer appropriate learning solutions and evaluating to measure the outcome
  • Build relationships throughout the company in order to identify training needs related to professional development courses
  • Propose appropriate visual communication design strategy for workshop deliverables to enhance team member learning experience

Requirements

  • Relevant university or BSc (HBO) education
  • 2-4 years’ experience in learning and development
  • Able to build constructive relationships with communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be(come) a true ambassador of Applied Medical’s company culture
  • Inspiring, enthusiastic and keen on improvement of both him/herself and team members
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Fluent in Dutch strongly preferred
