Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our well-established German sales team. In this role you will work closely with our Sales Management team to develop sales strategies and define the tactical implementation of Applied Medical products in the Northern part of Germany (Niedersachsen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein). Moreover, you will ensure the effective introduction of new products and obsolescence of discontinued products. You will also work close with internal departments such as Clinical Development, Product Implementation, Clinical Education, Field Operations, Customer Service and Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance to achieve set business goals.


With your home office as your base, you will travel frequently throughout the region and on occasion to our European headquarters located in The Netherlands. In this role you will report to the Strategic Implementation Manager based in Germany.


Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Market Implementation Manager.


Key Responsabilities


  • Analyze the market and identify sales opportunities for our innovative medical devices
  • Define optimal sales and branding strategies by working closely with various internal departments
  • Support the local sales teams with (new) product implementations
  • Attend procedures at customers to ascertain product performance and market development opportunities
  • Follow and report on market and sales trends
  • Create monthly reports on market analyses and strategic plans
  • Identify customer clinical educational needs
  • Provide monthly training courses (internal and external, national and international)
  • Prepare for and support during internal strategic meetings
  • Provide support at congresses (4 congresses per quarter)


  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree
  • 3+ years experience within marketing role, clinical development and/or sales
  • Proven track record in sales implementation
  • Experience with medical instruments/devices is preferred
  • International experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Windows based computer applications
  • Availability to travel frequently, including weekends on occasion
