Job Description

We are looking for an Internal Control Specialist to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for the support of the financial control activities in our rapidly growing European organization. For both internal and external purposes, you will describe and improve our internal financial processescontrol framework.


You are based at our European headquarters in Amersfoort (NL) and you report to the Director of International Finance and Accounting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and document key business processes and internal controls
  • Assess the design of these processes and controls
  • Review internal policies, procedures, and existing regulations to determine applicable compliance and the adequacy of underlying internal controls
  • Design and execute tests of internal controls
  • Evaluate and develop value-added recommendations
  • Develop effective reports and presentations
  • Assess information technology control elements to mitigate risks of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business information
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree level in Finance and Accounting or with a chartered public accounting background
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Knowledge of financial and management controls, audit process and professional standards/regulations (i.e. US GAAP, SOX and COSO)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
