Job Description

If you are searching for a place where you can use your excellent communication and negotiation skills, consider putting your experience in motion at Applied Medical. As a Buyer, your detail-oriented mindset will ensure you to perform valuable market research, obtain and analyze competitive quotations and negotiate on the terms. You will establish purchasing agreements and place orders. Furthermore, you will play an important role in strategic purchasing projects and supplier management.

 

As a Buyer, you will join the Procurement team, which currently consists of six enthusiastic team members. You will report to the Manager Procurement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and analyze quotes and competitive bids
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers
  • Place purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Resolve quality, pricing and delivery issues with suppliers
  • Interact with accounts payable and receive functions to settle invoices and delivery discrepancies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s education level
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high-tech industry
  • Experience with purchasing, sourcing, quality and accounting related processes
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch
