Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Senior Engineer with leadership experience to join our engineering team at Applied Medical. In this full-time position, you will act as a technical lead in providing engineering support for medical device(s) and/or process(es). In addition, you will lead and mentor other team members throughout all phases of development projects as well as troubleshooting effort processes and equipment.

You are based at the European office in Amersfoort and you report to the Director Process Engineering.


Within Applied Medical, this position has the internal job title of Senior Process Engineer.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects or project teams
  • Exercise good judgment in organizing and executing projects
  • Apply the theoretical and engineering principles using analytical techniques for the evaluation and solution of technical issues
  • Generate and review engineering documents pertaining to specific product(s) or area of work
  • Research, design, develop, and qualify new products, materials, manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to others and train as necessary


  • Master’s degree level in a technical subject or equivalent engineering experience
  • 8-15 years of relevant working experience in engineering fields with 3+ years in relevant roles
  • Experience in leading collaboration projects with various teams
  • Experience in leading support team for specific area/process/product
  • Proficient technical reasoning skills and technical design understanding
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
