Job Description

We believe learning is a lifelong endeavor. In this position, you are responsible for leading the facilitation (training) team of the Applied Learning team including the development, implementation, facilitation and coordination of all classroom and online learning programs to serve the training and educational needs of Applied Medical Europe.


You will be part of the Applied Learning Team, located at our European Headquarter in Amersfoort, and work closely together with Senior Leadership and the Applied Learning team in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all learning programs including the development of content and facilitation, as well as working with stakeholders to identify new training and learning needs for team members
  • Manage the internal training program, monitor the progress of the students, train and offer guidance to the co-facilitators, be moral support to students, work closely together with the Senior Learning Facilitator
  • Maintain and strengthen Applied Medical’s company culture and help enable team members perform their role(s), grow, and develop professionally through offering a variety of learning programs
  • Ensure ongoing development of learning programs and delivery methods for classroom and/or e-learning courses
  • Ensure development and maintenance of supporting materials for the learning programs such as manuals and documentation of procedures
  • Ensure excellent facilitation and coordination of the Culture and Leadership Training Programs
  • Collaborate with the Local Leadership Team to validate course curriculum and identify further training and development needs
  • Collaborate with the Applied Learning teams in the US to adapt and/or develop new training courses or online courses
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and provide periodic progress reports
  • Provide leadership and support to direct reports


  • Master’s degree in Human Resources
  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • 5 years’ experience within learning and development
  • Proven Surgical Medical Device Sales experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proven presentation skills and organization skills
