Job Description

In the exciting field position of Territory Manager, you will be joining a well-established and experienced team to sell surgical products for use within operating theatres. You will travel to your appointments with surgeons in various hospitals with focus on General Surgery, Colorectal, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Upper GI, ENT and Breast. You enjoy establishing strong relationships with both new and existing clients and following up on leads. As a product expert, you understand what surgeons and their teams need and connect with them on a personal level.

 

This role requires you to live in the central area of Scotland (Edinburgh, Lothian, Fife) however, you must also be prepared to travel to other parts of the country when required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify key stakeholders per product segment
  • Create effective business plans and approach strategies with your Sales Manager
  • Arrange appointments with surgeons and hospital medical teams
  • Demonstrate the use of our products to surgeons, practice staff and nurses
  • Attend orientation, education & scrub sessions
  • Work closely together with Customer Service team on tenders, price quotations, order samples, and customer issues
  • Organize and attend conferences for surgeons and other medical staff
  • Regularly attend company meetings, product training and presentations
  • Keep up with the latest clinical data and communicate this information to health professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
  • 2+ years of experience with surgical sales in hospitals with a proven and successful track record
  • Established relationships with key decision-makers in operating theatres and procurement departments
  • Successfully collaborated with accounts from prospecting, through evaluation stage to implementation within a national framework
  • Rapidly build rapport with excellent communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Driven and enthusiastic self-starter with a passion to win
  • Business travel is required as stated above
  • Residing in the indicated area
