Job Description

Are you a people-oriented team leader with experience in a warehouse? This can be your next career step! We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader who will be responsible for managing the Order Team in Amersfoort, which consists of approximately 10 team members. The Order Team is responsible for a high volume of orders and carries out picking, packing and sending of our medical devices as well as processing return orders. This position includes hands-on work in the Warehouse and management tasks such as coaching team members, improvement projects, setting priorities, and administration.


The Warehouse Team Leader works in a team of material handlers and Leads. You report to the Director Supply Chain. You interact with other Warehouse teams, Customer Service, Quality Control and our Field Operations team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Contribute to warehouse activities and order processing to make sure we serve our internal and external customers
  • Manage the team members on the floor to improve individual and team performance, including prioritization of work and appraisals
  • Maintain and review team members’ performance and order processing KPI’s
  • Make sure the team is operating in a pleasant work atmosphere
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, and make sure that the team has the correct awareness and training
  • Make suggestions for improvements to meet our growing organization’s needs
  • Help ensure the warehouse is tidy and organized, and contribute to 5s implementation projects
  • Hire new team members, when applicable


  • MBO/HBO education level
  • At least five years’ work experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Strong people management skills acquired in a team leader, supervisor and/or lead position
  • Excellent communication skills both in Dutch and English
  • Good knowledge of MS office, especially of Excel, is required, knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Work experience in an international environment and affinity with Medical/Healthcare is preferred
  • Fulltime availability
