Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our well-established Swiss sales team. In this role you will work closely with our Sales Management team to develop sales strategies and define the tactical implementation of Applied Medical products in Switzerland. Moreover, you will ensure the effective introduction of new products and identify new opportunities. You will also work close with internal departments such as Clinical Development, Product Implementation, Clinical Education, Field Operations, Customer Service and Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance to achieve set business goals.

 

This is a position with a national focus where you will be travelling frequently throughout the country and on occasion to our European headquarters located in The Netherlands. In this role you will report to the Country Sales Manager in Switzerland.

 

Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Manager Field Implementation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the market and identify sales opportunities for our innovative medical devices
  • Define optimal sales and branding strategies by working closely with various internal departments
  • Support the local sales teams with (new) product implementations
  • Attend procedures at customers to ascertain product performance and market development opportunities
  • Follow and report on market and sales trends
  • Create monthly reports on market analyses and strategic plans
  • Identify customer clinical educational needs
  • Support and attend educational events (internal and external)
  • Prepare for and support during internal strategic meetings
  • Provide support at congresses

Requirements

  • Bachelor+ degree level (sales and/ or medical related)
  • At least 5 years of experience with medical device sales, preferably surgical device sales in the Operating Room
  • Relevant experience in a similar position and proven track record
  • Good knowledge of human anatomy, (laparoscopic) clinical procedures and local healthcare market(s)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
  • Additional language skills, such as French and Italian is a plus
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Windows based computer applications
  • Availability to travel frequently, including weekends on occasion
