For our finance department, we are looking for a Manager Business Analysis & Planning. In this challenging position you will define problems design solutions, while leading and inspiring the Business Analysis (BA) team. In addition you will develop the team while supporting the European organization in collecting, reporting and analyzing (financial) performance and participating in strategic decision-making processes to support organizational growth. You work closely with the internal business partners of the European organization and the Finance and Planning team at our US global headquarters.

The European organization of Applied Medical consists of multiple legal entities all managed from our European headquarters in Amersfoort (NL). You are based in Amersfoort and you will report to the Director of International Finance and Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop BA team members and sustain an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment
• Develop, implement and improve business reporting and analytical models
• Act both as an advisor and sparring partner for senior management in AME and US on strategic decision-making processes
• Plan and drive the sales and expense plan and forecast processes and challenge the department managers and senior managers on their input
• Provide insights, suggestions for improvement or new business opportunities
• Promote a data driven approach with the development and support of various analytical reports and visualizations across the company
• Lead the interactions with various departments within the organization to understand their data and analytics needs
• Work on special projects assigned by management

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance or Strategic Management
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar position and 3+ years’ leadership/management experience
• Affinity with financial processes
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to understand and respond in a timely manner
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Work experience in an international environment is preferred
