Job Description

The Business Service Representative is primarily responsible for managing the tendering process and handling all customer and sales teams requests on time and in an adequate manner.The Business Service Representative works within the Tender Team. The Tender Team is based at the Head Office in Amersfoort and part of the Field Implementation. The Tender Team is divided into 2 areas: Tender management and Contract and Pricing management. The Business Service Representative reports to the Team Leader Tender, supports and communicates with other departments, the local sales teams and customers.

Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Tender Management Representative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify tender opportunities, cascading the tender requirements to the sales and management teams and issuing the tender documentation using approved templates
  • Liaise with different departments in Applied Medical to answer tender-related requests by providing accurate, verified and approved information
  • Inform customers of any price and product changes during the tender cycle
  • Act as a reviewer towards the tendering process of colleagues
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then take actions according to administrative policies and procedures. This includes identifying changes in procurement practices and proactively research on how to integrate new requirements
  • Timely notify any obstacles in the process to the Team Leader and propose a solution to solve and prevent these
  • Support the local sales team by sending price quotations, sales brochures and samples when needed for the tenders
  • Translate basic English documents into French and Dutch
  • Handle and process hospital usage report request in Excel format

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree level
  • Strong affinity with Sales Support
  • Tender experience is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in French and Dutch, with a very good understanding of written texts that can include complex legal language
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
