For our expanding IT team, we are looking for an IT Automation Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated solutions for information technology processes within Applied Medical. You will work with different internal teams to help discover opportunities and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing process automation. In addition, you will focus on quality assurance, regression testing and software validation. There will be a close cooperation with other internal ATS teams, also at our US Headquarters (located in California).

You are part of the ATS (Advanced Technology Services) Enterprise Infrastructure team based our European Head office in Amersfoort and you report to the Manager Enterprise Infrastructure. 

Within Applied Medical this position has the internal job title of Automation Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for automation within technical as well as business processes
• Implement and maintain automation for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software interconnectivity
• Identify bugs and quality issues in automation processes
• Design and execute quality assurance and validation tests using scripts that automatically test functionality
• Install and maintain applications and databases relevant to automation
• Manage Identity Management automation and (software) deployment systems
• Develop and provide technical documentation and support materials; provide backup to department team members
• Integrate automation solutions and ensure adaptation with the existing IT infrastructure

• 4+ years experience in a similar position
• HBO/Bachelor education level
• Experience with automation platforms, modern technology architecture and programming languages
• Knowledge of infrastructure software and platforms
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Work experience in an international environment is preferred
