Job Description

Combine your strong sales experience and passion for healthcare and join our dedicated sales team. In the role of Territory Manager, you are an energetic, proactive and motivated team player who enjoys interacting with people. You establish strong relationships with both new and existing customers and follow-up on leads. As a product expert, you understand what surgeons and their teams need and connect with them on a personal level. In this exciting field position, you spend most of your time with the different stakeholders in the hospitals to implement our products. You live in the indicated sector and will be in regular contact with the Belux sales team and our European Headquarters in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. You report to the Regional Sales Manager.


Within Applied Medical the title of this position is Territory Manager.

Key Responsibilities


  • Continuously contribute to significant growth of Applied Medical in your area
  • Identify key stakeholders per product segment
  • Create effective sales plans and approach strategies with the Regional Sales Manager
  • Arrange appointments with surgeons, hospital medical teams and procurement
  • Demonstrate the use of our products to surgeons, practice staff and nurses in the OR, using a consultative sales approach
  • Validate our value proposition with all stakeholders in the hospitals, including purchasing
  • Meet or exceed quota expectations as established by product segment
  • Work closely together with the Regional Sales Manager, Account and Tender Manager and Customer Service on tenders, price quotations, order samples, and customer issues
  • Visit conferences for surgeons and other medical staff
  • Attend product training, education and operating room sessions
  • Keep up with the latest clinical data and communicate this information to healthcare professionals
  • Identify new developments in healthcare, the anticipated impact on the business and adapt strategy accordingly


  • Bachelor’s or university degree education
  • Sales experience in Medical Devices or a Clinical environment, OR product support experience is a plus
  • A network in stakeholders in surgical specialties such as General, Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, and/or Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopy) is considered a strong plus
  • Outstanding listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English is a must, knowledge of French is a plus
  • Business travel is required
  • Reside in Flanders, preferably in the Ghent - Kortrijk - Veurne - Knokke area
