Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Territory Manager specialising in surgical/medical products within the Guildford area. Within this role you will be joining a well-established and experienced team to impliment surgical products for use within operating theatres. As a Territory Manager you understand what surgeons and their teams need and connect with them on a personal level. The surgical specialties include General Surgery, Colorectal, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Upper GI, ENT, and Breast.


In this exciting field position, you will travel to your appointments with surgeons to various hospitals and clinics, demonstrating effective territory and time commercial skills. This role requires you to live within the Guildford area. You must also be prepared to travel to other parts of the country when required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify key stakeholders per product segment
  • Create effective business plans and approach strategies with your Sales Manager
  • Arrange appointments with surgeons and hospital medical teams
  • Demonstrate the use of our products to surgeons, practice staff and nurses
  • Attend orientation, education & scrub sessions
  • Work closely together with the Customer Service team on tenders, price quotations, order samples, and customer issues
  • Organize and attend conferences for surgeons and other medical staff
  • Regularly attend company meetings, product training and presentations
  • Keep up with the latest clinical data and communicate this information to health professionals


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work- and thinking capabilities
  • 3+ years of experience with surgical sales in hospitals with a proven and successful track record
  • Established relationships with key decision-makers in operating theatres and procurement departments
  • Successfully collaborated with accounts from prospecting, through evaluation stage to implementation within a national framework
  • Rapidly build rapport with excellent communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Driven and enthusiastic self-starter with a passion to win
  • Business travel is required as stated above
